My Last Email:( See you all next week!!!

Well folks, this is my last email to you all. First, I just want to say that I am so grateful for the chance I have had to be a missionary here in Portugal. The thing that I love most about the mission is how my relationship with my Heavenly Father and my Savior has grown. I have really learned who they are to me. I know that the best way to get to know Them is by serving Them. I am so grateful for my Savior and everything that He has done for me. I really understand how the Atonement of Jesus Christ can apply in my life. As missionaries we have the opportunity to help others understand how it applies in their lives and a long the way we learn too. I love my Savior and my Heavenly Father and I love Portugal.  I have met so many incredible people who have helped me and changed my life for the better:) I am just so full of gratitude.

Anyways, this week was another great one! We had a lot of adventures that include teaching a lot of people that don't want us to come back, and also knocking a door and getting invited to come back to find out that the guy is a preacher and we literally sat through him preaching. It was a set up and he didn't let us talk the whole time, but in the end we were able to ask him if we could say a prayer with them before we left and so I taught them all how to pray and he said we could come back this week and tell him why are name is the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! We will see how this goes!

But we also had a really great lesson with M-a. We had a heart to heart with her and talked more about baptism. She is so close to accepting a date and that is the only thing I want before I leave is to have her accept baptism!

Then on Saturday we invited R-do to the baptism of SANDRA!!! yep! She got baptized finally:) And R-do and R-ry came and we taught them about faith after the baptism. It was a quick lesson cuz they had to leave, but super good!

That was my week! I am super excited to work this last week and I will see you all soon! Remember that Heavenly Father loves you and He has a plan for each and everyone of us. Keep your head up and your faith strong.

FeLiZ PáScOa!!!!

This week was incredible!! I just love the mission! We saw so many miracles as always and General Conference was great as always!! Our week went by so fast and some many things happened!

We had divisions with Sister Shipp and Sister Scott. Haha. It was fun being with basically ALL of my companions that haven't finished their missions yet. I worked with Sister Scott and we worked in this small town outside of Coimbra where President da Silva lives and we had dinner with their family.
Then we had Zone Conference, which was also really good. Our mission president is really focusing on how we need to be more creative to find more people to teach and improve our way to contact people. I learned how important it is that we live the message that we bring and apply the principles that we teach in our own lives as missionaries.

After the conference Sister Jones and Sister Esteban had divisions with us. I feel so blessed to work with other Sisters and learn from them. Each of them have so to bring to this work and teach me so much! Another really exciting thing that happened was we went to Figueira da Foz on Saturday with one of our members to teach R-do with his wife R-ry (who is a member)! We taught him the first lesson with a lesson of Easter. It was great and then after they gave us lunch and it was super good. They are Brazilians and know how to make really good food.

Then we got on the train to get back to Coimbra for J-os baptism and he asked M-a to say the closing prayer and she did! It was awesome. It is incredible how involved she is and still isn't baptized. Then she stayed for General Conference. A-ra was there so I got to see her and how she is doing! We watched conference in the chapel in the old ward I served in.

On Easter we had the opportunity all morning to work and find people to teach and we left all excited to share the message of how Christ lives! And I don't think have received more rejection... I started to feel a little discouraged. I was thinking...Man, I am here on Easter and we have this beautiful message to share with families about the true meaning of Easter and everyone is being rude to us. But I just kept praying that I could stay happy and keep a smile on my face and then this thought came to my head....."Hey what better way to show the love for the Savior even when people are rejecting you. You are still out here giving it everything you've got and it shows Him even more how much you love Him when you keep going when it isn't easy. He died for you and it wasn't easy but He did it because of His love for you.  He kept going when it was hard... You can too!" and after that I couldn't stop smiling because I knew that I was showing my love for the Savior!!
Then we got to watch the last session of conference at 9 until 11 at night and we slept in my old house with Sister Mortensen and Robinson! It was great!

I love you all! I love the mission! I love the gospel. Have a great week!!

Singing in Sacrament

Hey my email this week will be short and sweet, but this week was great! We taught M-a with President Silva (first counselor to our mission president) and his wife because they are awesome and live in our ward. We taught her the Gospel of Jesus Christ and talked more about baptism. She still hasn't excepted a date. It will happen though:) Then we were invited to sing in church on Sunday because our relief society did a presentation during sacrament meeting and Sister Pastana and I didn't want to sing by ourselves so we invited M-a to sing with us. And she did! When we were practicing with her she showed us that every night she has been listening to a talk from general conference (she didn't even know what that was or who the people were, but she loved it). So we explained everything to her. It was super cool to have her participate with us in sacrament meeting and she loved being apart!:) Anyway, I love you all!

When I was studying about faith this week. I read something in Preach my Gospel that I really liked. It talked about how our Faith in Jesus Christ has power to change the desires of our hearts and cure our hearts. That is so true. Faith in Jesus Christ has so much power and it is the first step that we need to take everyday to stay on the path back to our Heavenly Father:)

HAVE A GREAT WEEK!!!

MY LAST TRANSFER!!!

I can't BELIEVE I just started my last transfer and that it is only five weeks! It is going to be so great. I just love the mission.  I will be in Porto on the 16th so after today I will only have 4 more emails!!!!  Weird!

So this transfer I will be staying in Coimbra with Sister Pastana, my one and only favorite Brazilian companion! She is great. And unfortunately Sister Scott is leaving us for Castelo Branco, but it is okay because Castelo Branco is in our zone so she will do divisions with us! yay!

This week was CRAZY!! We hardly got to work in our area! Monday we had an appointment with this lady named Candida and it went super well. When we were getting on the bus to go we saw a senior couple! They had just arrived in our mission three days before and happened to be visiting someone from their area that was in the hospital in Coimbra. They are from Brasil, but had been living in Utah. They are the best!

On Tuesday we tried a few potential people we had been working with, then we ate lunch and then had to leave for Porto. Sister Pastana and I stayed with Sister Huntsman. I love that Sister!  We were there for a leadership conference. It was really good. We talked a lot about the Book of Mormon and how powerful it is. Sister Pastana shared this story about her gma and how she couldn't read, but the missionaries invited her to read the Book of Mormon and promised her that if she tried to read it she would learn how to read. Through the power of this great book she learned how to read and was baptized!  Then it was back to Coimbra late Wednesday night.

Thursday we had to plan our Zone Meeting with the Zone Leaders and then that night we had dinner with one of our members Maria de Lurdes:)

Friday was our Zone Meeting and it went really well. After, we had divisions with the sisters from Castelo Branco! I GOT TO BE WITH SISTER SHIPP. It was sooo fun to work together again. We knocked doors in the rain and found lots of people! It was a great night! I miss working with her.  She is such a great missionary.

Then Saturday it was Luna´s baptism and I got to go! It was so great to be with her again and see her get baptized:)  Anyways, this week was crazy and passed so fast, but I loved every second of it.

I hope that you have a great week. I love you all.
