Transfers!!! Yep... I am leaving Leiria:(

Welp... I am leaving Leiria:( I love this area and my comp, but I am excited for my new adventure and I am just going right next door! I am going to Coimbra and I will be serving with Sister Marshall.  It will be fun to go there because I have already done lots of divisions there! I have heard so many good things about the ward members and I already know a few of them and the investigators.

Anyways, about the week! I felt like we were just running all week long!

-We were able to teach F-o and J-a again. We taught them about the restoration.  They are very receptive and super curious and want to go to church, but they had a funeral this Sunday:(. After our lesson their friends showed up for tea and so as we were trying to leave but we got stuck in the middle of a tea party and all these old people were quizzing us about our missionary work and were so intrigued with what we do and we got to bare our testimony about why we are here and how the Gospel has blessed our lives. I loved it. These four people all over the age of 60 listening so intently to what two 20 year old girls have to say. It is incredible what the spirit can do.

-We found this new family to teach,  R-a and M-o. We talked to the mom awhile ago and she said we could come back and we went back and they let us in. They have two cute young boys! We taught the restoration and they told us we can come back as long as it isn't on Tuesdays cuz that is when the porto soccer game is;)

-ZONE CONFERENCE! We had a great zone conference last week and l learned so much! We talked about how important it is to invite people to change,  like going to church, read the scriptures, and be baptized. If we don't invite them then we aren't doing our part.

-Sister Shipp got the flu and so we had to stay inside for a day to help her get better and now she is doing a lot better!

-P-s came to church on Sunday and the day before she had called us and told us all these things she was struggling with and we promised her if she came to church she would receive and answer to her prayers and then at church everything was directly for her. It was so awesome to see how the Lord answers prayers.

-Sunday night we received transfer calls and cried a little bit, but we know the Lord knows where He needs us:)

It was a great week and I love you all! And always remember, "Courage for the Lord is on our side" whatever trial we are going through or what ever difficulty we have to face, there is no reason to be afraid or sad because no matter what, we have the Lord on our side. He is always there for us, He is our best friend and is always reaching His hand out to us... we just have to take it.

B-E-A-T...beat Satanas!

The subject line is what Sister Shipp and I have been chanting all week this week, ha ha! Sister Shipp was a cheerleader and so we thought it would be appropriate to make a chant about beating satan;)

We had another great week this week here in the beautiful Leiria. We worked a ton with listão this week to get it all up to date. We have an activity coming up so we were working and visiting a lot of our members to have them invite people to our activity.

We had a crazy day running from appointment to appointment. Those are my favorite days! We had one appointment with L-s. We watched with her the movie of the restoration and talked about the role of Joseph Smith.
Then we ran to an appointment with G-a and G-ba! We did this fun little game with them and talked about how important reading the scriptures, saying your prayers, and going to church are in our everyday lives and make a huge difference. Then we got out and we ran to a lesson with M-e in the chapel (which is about a 50 minute walk). We got there in like 15 minutes. We were pretty impressed with our speediness. The lesson was good with M-e, but she was pretty sad that night and so when we were walking home we taught her our grateful game where we each take turns saying something we are grateful for.  She liked it and thought Sister Shipp and I are pretty funny:)

Later in the week we contacted a reference from the elders. J-a and she is a hoot!! We taught her and her brother, F-o, and they are the cutest! They are both pretty old and live together. J-a´s husband has passed away and I don't know if F-o ever got married. They loved our message and us ;), ha ha.

Sunday we had to be out in front of the soccer stadium by our apartment at 7:15 am because this bus came to pick up us and all the ward members and off to stake conference we went! It was a 2 1/2 hour bus ride, but so worth it! We had our stake conference in Viseu and was all about faith. President Amorim spoke about the 4 things that can stop our faith from developing:
1-Fear of trying, we dont know if we dont try
2-Pride, put your pride to the side and make room for Christ
3-Laziness, today is the day of our repentance
4-Putting our priorities in the wrong order, If we put the Kingdom of God in highest priority, everything else in life will fall into place

His talk was awesome, but really the best part of it for me was seeing the faithful members of our ward sacrifice a two and a half hour bus ride to go to stake conference and I know that was a true act of faith:)

Well family and friends I love you all and I hope you have a great week!

Walking down a dark road...

I am going to keep it short and simple this time,  but Sister Shipp and I had a great week!

We had a family night at the bishops house with J- and his family! It was great! We brought treats and the spiritual message. We watched the restoration and talked about how it has blessed our lives and how we are living the restoration right now and asked them about things we can do right now to be apart of it:)

One night our phone was on silent and the elders kept calling to get a hold of us and we didn't answer... so then when we got back to our apartment that night they were sitting outside of it to make sure we were alive... hahah oops:) don't worry we have good elders making sure we are safe here.

We found this mom G-a and her daughter G-b! They are awesome and they are letting us come back this week! We taught them the restoration and they loved it and the daughter was soo excited to have a BOM. Then we found this other lady Lena! She is just so sweet and we taught her the restoration! She loved it and we can't wait to go back! The spirit was so strong and she was just so willing to listen to us. These people have this awesome quality to talk, but it is nice every when listen to you too:)

Then one night we were walking home down this little dark road and something reached out and grabbed my hair and pulled me back. Turns out it was just a tree branch haha it was pretty funny! But I was really stuck! Sister Shipp and I got a good laugh:)

Well, I love you all and I love it here! Life is great and I am learning so much everyday! I know that good and bad things happen, but it is our choice how to react so we might as well make the best of every moment:)

Have a great week and be safe is Bear Lake fam! I am only a little jealous of you all:)
